Our Terms, Conditions and Responsibilities
We are unable to book the airline portion of your tour (that must be booked locally) and we strongly recommend that an insurance policy be purchased for cover in the event of the traveller having to cancel for any reason once payment has been made for the tour.
All travelers who purchase a tour as arranged by Hidden England Chauffeur Tours (hereafter referred to as the 'Tour Operator') must agree to be bound by the following, which forms the terms of your contract for travel.
It is our responsibility to advise all travelers that there may be different living standards, practices and conditions with respect to the provision of utilities, services and accommodations in England than in other parts of the world. Please remember that one of the joys of a Hidden England Chauffeur Tours tour is the opportunity to discover the pleasures of rural life in specific parts of England. The vast majority of rooms at our featured accommodations do have private facilities assigned to each room - these may be immediately attached to your room or across the hall, but they would be your private facilities, not used by anybody else. In a few of our accommodations, 'history' does not allow private en suites for each room. In the event that only a 'shared' bathroom is available at an accommodation, you will be advised of this prior to your making your reservation with them.
The Tour Operator does not accept any liability for any additional representations made by travel agents, airlines, cruise companies, accommodation staff, tour guides or other suppliers. All services described in this brochure are based upon information provided to us by our suppliers in good faith.
Please note that due to the nature of a Hidden England Chauffeur Tours vacation, it may be necessary to change the itinerary or accommodation whilst the tour is in motion. The Tour Operator retains the right to make alterations in the itineraries, as it seems to them necessary or desirable. Hidden England Chauffeur Tours appeals to the flexible traveler wishing to experience a delightful, unique and informative vacation. Itineraries within this printed material are guidelines only and will be expounded upon when you arrive.
Travelers should be aware that the meals taken throughout Hidden England Chauffeur Tours vacations might be of a different style and content than you may be accustomed to in your home country. However, it has been our experience that our customers have discovered dining to be one of the highlights of their Hidden England Chauffeur Tours vacation! Evening meals are either taken in the accommodation or at a local pub or restaurant.
Due to the size of our transportations, luggage is strictly limited to ONE SUITCASE AND ONE CARRY-ON BAG PER PERSON. It may be possible to leave additional luggage at the hotel from which your tour originates. However, we cannot guarantee this service.
Any complaints whilst on tour must be brought immediately to the attention of your Tour Driver/Guide. Any written complaints must be received by Hidden England Chauffeur Tours within 30 days of your return date to your home country.
The Tour Operator and any affiliated or associated companies or agents will not be liable or responsible in any way for loss, injury or damage caused to any property belonging to any group member. Baggage, personal effects and items purchased are the sole responsibility of the owners at all times. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
Whilst we proof read our promotional literature several times prior to publishing, we cannot be held liable for typographical errors regarding pricing, dates or descriptions of tours. All errors and omissions will be remedied as soon as noted.
Once we have accepted your deposit payment, Hidden England Chauffeur Tours will not normally cancel your tour unless we are forced to do so by circumstances that are beyond our control (natural disasters, war, adverse weather conditions, industrial disputes etc.). In these cases you are given a full refund of your payment less any commission paid to agents who would be responsible for repayment of their commission according to their own terms and conditions.
Amendments, Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
A fee of $50 per transaction will be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation by the client after a booking is confirmed.
A fee of $100 will be charged if you cancel your entire tour package to reschedule for a different date.
If notice of complete cancellation of a tour is received by Hidden England Chauffeur Tours on or before the commencement date of said tour, the non-refundable deposit will be retained. Notice of cancellation must be made in writing to Hidden England Chauffeur Tours as soon as possible.
Hidden England Chauffeur Tours agrees to maintain adequate insurance in respect of the Vehicles it provides, and in relation to the provision of the Services with a reputable insurance company against all insurable liability of such an amount as shall be determined by the Company. The Company shall upon written request of the Client provide to the Client copies of the Certificates of Insurance.
The Client shall be responsible for and shall fully indemnify the Company in respect of any loss or damage caused to the Vehicle or any additional costs or expenses incurred by the Company due to any act, omission or default of the Client when using the Services. For the avoidance of doubt, where the Client enters into a Contract with the Company in respect of the Services and consents to its employees, agents, sub-contractors, customers or suppliers actually utilizing the Services, the Client shall remain solely liable to the Company in respect of any loss or damage suffered by the Company caused by any act, omission or default notwithstanding any other remedy the Company may have against any other third party.
These Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties, supersede any previous agreement or understanding and may not be varied except in writing between the parties. All other terms and conditions express or implied by statute or otherwise are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law. Any notice required or permitted to be given by either party to the other under these Conditions shall be in writing addressed to the other party at its registered office or principal place of business or such other address as may at the relevant time have been notified pursuant to this provision to the party giving the notice.
No failure or delay by either party in exercising any of its rights under the Contract shall be deemed to be a waiver of that right, and no waiver by either party of any breach of the Contract by the other shall be considered as a waiver of any subsequent breach of the same or any other provision. If any provision of these Conditions is held by any competent authority to be invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part, the validity of the other provisions of these Conditions and the remainder of the provision in question shall not be affected.
English law shall apply to the Contract, and the parties agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
